Gucci is a well known fashion label. It was founded by Guccio Gucci. It continues to grow and expand over the years bringing the glory of its name.

In the year 1920, Florence Italy , Guccio Gucci decided to start a business putting up a shop that sold fine leather goods with classic designs that is inspired by London . His classic ideals and skills which pave the way in making his name popular as his success started to move forward.  It had been years also that Gucci brand known for its elegance and quality.

Gucci collection features fine leather luxury brand handbags, shoes and silk and knitted wears. One of Gucci creations that became remarkable is its innovation of burnishing cranes for the handle of bamboo bag. It was when bamboo became the iconic product of Gucci in the early 1940s.  Many royalties and celebrities have been admiring its uniqueness, the indigenous way of making a burnished handle of bags. It was because during the era foreign materials grow in shortage under the difficult time of Dictatorship in Italy . Gucci brand started to build a name entering the global world known for its luxurious modern designs in 1950s. Gucci symbol as green-red-green web stripe patterns have been recognized expanding their business in Milan and New York . It was his sons that take over the business when Guccio Gucci passed away. Aldo, Vasco, Ugo and Rodolfo Gucci. In mid 60s Gucci expanded more in abroad making a signature of Double G logo. Their business has reached London , Palm Beach , Paris and Beverly Hills . It was cherished by many well known personalities. The Gucci creations: shoulder bag known as Jackie O today, unisex Hobo bag and Gucci’s moccasin with horsebit hardware and the famous Flora silk print scarf.   

In the 1970s through Aldo inspired work the Gucci business join its force worldwide. It began to reinvent new collection that featured GG printed shirts. Its Italian inspired craftsmanship and quality made it better known. It made its first staged runway in the 1980s. Maurizio Gucci son of Rodolfo Gucci took over who held half of the company’s shares. The Gucci brand almost lost its glory due to imitations of this brand.  As the failure of business overcomes success Maurizio sold the Company over Bahrain investors. Dawn Mello who became the executive vice president and creative director took the role reinventing and making Gucci more refined. And it’s been a competitive year for Gucci and as 90s came along, Tom Ford came on board in 1994.

Hired by Dawn Mello, Ford help overcome the failing business. Mello directed his path to reunite with Bergdorf Goodman in New York which makes Tom Ford the creative director of Gucci.  Ford strives to pull the ladder of the Gucci Company towards success to bring back its former glory redirecting the name to a different and new level for the market in this era.
           
As the twentieth century came and at the end the brand became competitive ones again joining the global competition. Its luxury brand regains its name. Frida Giannini took charge and became the creative director after Alessandra Fachinetti. The designs stand out the former creations better than before. Gucci for over the years have survived its legacy.
