While the newest fragrance Marc Jacobs Dot is placed for release this spring, the united states designer and Lv creative director may be the latest designer to announce he's branching into the arena of color cosmetics.
The designer already includes a large fragrance empire, and he's now set to adhere to in the footsteps from the likes of Tom Ford, who launched his first color cosmetics collection last September at Tom Ford stores and high-end malls.
"I see makeup, fragrance -- everything, really -- as a possible opportunity. The concept of choosing a color for the lip, or even an eyeliner -- it is just such a delight. The ritual of getting out of bed and making those choices is one thing people love," said the designer.
"We currently will work on defining what Marc Jacobs cosmetics is going to be, what they'll say, are they all distinctive. I believe that will take a moment, but the first meeting was good."
Some of the best fashion houses to get expanded their beauty portfolios previously 12 months include Dolce & Gabbana and Burberry, while Italian designer Roberto Cavalli revealed his cosmetic line ambitions captured.
